The BC Chapter of IBPSA Canada will be hosting our annual AGM on September 6, from 11am-1pm. A light lunch will be provided for attendees. This AGM will be a “working meeting” with brainstorming and planning for the next year.
At the AGM we will be discussing the roles of the executive committee and voting in new and returning volunteers to the committee for the next term. Current committee members will discuss their role and provide an overview of their activities for the last year; those who plan to stay on will provide their plans for the next year. We will also discuss current the setup including:
Are the 2-year terms working, or should they be reduced to 1-year?
Are the current positions effective, or should we modify them to more accurately reflect what the individuals are doing? Do we need any new roles?
We will also discuss the results from the recent Pilot Mentorship Program with the University of Victoria.
Throughout the discussions, we will look for input from members to learn about where they would like to see the chapter focusing our efforts. We are also always looking for members to get involved and volunteer with the chapter.
